A LITTLE ABOUT ME

While pursuing my PhD in cell and molecular biology, I was introduced to the science of teaching and learning. That introduction led me to focus my research and teaching endeavors on discipline-based education research (DBER). In my research, I investigate how undergraduate students think and learn biology and use that information to develop and assess innovative curriculum to enhance how students learn biology. In my teaching, I implement activities that are supported by evidence and/or grounded in theories of learning.

I am currently recruiting students to join my group to assist with my research and/or teaching endeavors.
